Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AltMint processes, why, and where it goes. AltMint is a WordPress plugin plus a small marketing website. The plugin is designed to keep your data on your own site.

The WordPress plugin

No telemetry. The plugin does not send usage data, site URLs, image counts, or license checks to us. It has no analytics or tracking code.

AI generation. When you generate alt text, the plugin sends the selected image (possibly resized), a short text prompt, and basic context (such as the file name and the page or product title) to the AI provider you configured: OpenAI, OpenRouter, or Google Gemini. That request is governed by the provider's own privacy terms and API data policies. You pay the provider directly, and you can switch providers or stop using them at any time.

Local storage. Your API key, settings, generated suggestions, and monthly usage counter are stored in your WordPress database. Uninstalling the plugin removes its settings and stored suggestions.

The early-access list

If you submit the form on our website, we store your email address, an optional website URL, the time of submission, and your browser user agent in our database (hosted on Cloudflare). We use this only to tell you when AltMint launches and to send occasional product updates. You can ask us to delete your entry at any time.

Payments

Paid plans will be sold through Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. Creem processes payment details, handles applicable taxes, and may ask for billing information. We do not receive or store your full card number. Creem's own privacy policy applies to payment data.

Website hosting and cookies

This website is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard technical data (IP address, request headers) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. The site works without cookies; the waitlist form stores no cookies.

Third parties we use

• Cloudflare — website hosting and form storage.
• Creem — payments and subscription billing (when paid plans go live).
• OpenAI, OpenRouter, Google Gemini — AI generation, only when you configure a key in the plugin.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@altmint.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and will never charge you for a legitimate request.

Children

AltMint is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page or by email if you are on our list.
